Ada Simpson Sherwood collection, 1850s-1950s.

Ada Simpson Sherwood's papers include an unpublished autobiography of her life; scrapbook, ca.1898-1932, containing her published articles and poems along with family photos and memorabilia; journals of trip west in 1907-1908; letters received from her brother Wendell, 1880-1884, a cadet at West Point and written from Kansas and Texas. The collection also includes journal and letters of her husband Alva Sherwood attending World Sunday School convention in Jerusalem in 1904; journal of her mother Mary Thompson Simpson, 1856-1871, 1895, and 1903, describing move of family to Michigan.
